Il Divo - 2012 Tour

World famous classical pop quartet Il Divo plans to kick start its much acclaimed international tour at Grand West’s Grand Arena in the South African city of Cape Town. The 2012 world tour is the group’s fourth international tour and is expected to cover six continents starting in South Africa and ending on a high note in Denver in the United States of America.

The concerts in the tour would be focusing on the quartet’s latest studio album “Wicked Game” which is the sixth album to be released worldwide after the quartet’s launch. The tour has been designed by Brian Burke, the creative director of Celine Dion’s Brand New Day spectacle in Las Vegas. The concerts would be extra special as they would also be featuring an orchestra striking a tune to the numbers of “Wicked Game”.

After commencing in Cape Town, the tour travels through Johannesburg and Sun City before moving on to Australia where it is scheduled to perform a string of five concerts. The quartet, moves on to mainland Europe with concerts in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Belgium and UK, Austria, Netherlands and Portugal. The classical quartet is scheduled to perform in 8 cities in the UK before travelling to Austria. But the most crucial leg of the tour is said to be in North America where it would be staging 40 performances over the course of three months. The North American leg of the tour starts in Ontario, Canada on the 18th of May followed by concerts in Nova Scotia, New York, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Edmonton, and Philadelphia before finally ending on the 19th of August at the Wells Fargo Centre in Denver.

The foursome classical quartet was assembled by musical maestro Simon Cowell and features Swiss tenor Urs Bühler, American tenor David Miller, Spanish baritone Carols Marin, and French pop singer Sébastien Izambard.
