Radiohead - 2012 Tour
The much prolonged wait, for eager fans of rock music giants Radiohead, comes to a close as the band has finally listed its concert dates of the US leg starting in red hot Miami on the 27th of February at the American Airlines Arena. Indie rocking band “Other Lives” will be opening for the rock band in every concert throughout the US tour. The last time Radiohead performed in US was in the year 2007 when they were promoting their seventh album “In Rainbow”. The 2012 tour of the band is expected to showcase its eighth album “The King of Limbs” which has already sold off 28, 000 copies since its world wide release in February this year.
The tour will feature lead vocalist Thom Yorke, Phil Selway on drums, brothers Colin Greenwood and Jonny Greenwood playing on keyboards and guitars respectively. The tour is most likely expected to feature performances on the songs of the band’s latest album “The King of Limbs”. The album charted at number seven in the UK and hit an all time record charting of number three position in the US rock charts. In July this year, the vinyl edition of the album was reported to be the best selling vinyl of the year.
The US leg of the world tour of Radiohead takes off from Miami on the 27th Of February with performances in Atlanta on March 1st before making its way west through St Louis, Kansas City and Arizona. As far as the listings are concerned, the band marks its end in Glendale Arizona on the 15th of March. It has been seen that large cities like Chicago and Los Angeles have not been mentioned yet so it is more likely to release more dates in the forthcoming days. The concert is expected to toss thousands of tickets as this is Radiohead’s comeback tour to the sub continent in 5 years.
